Job Description

Overview The International Shipping Specialist is responsible for all aspects of international shipping activities. It is preferred that the International Shipper be knowledgeable with Freight Forwarding and U.S./ Foreign Customs brokerage activities to track and execute shipments successfully and on time. The International Shipper will also need to be knowledgeable in hazmat packaging and shipping. Responsibilities Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance. Responsible for shipping operations for all Cirrus Aftermarket outbound movements Responsible to maintain adequate flow of outbound hazardous and international shipments Investigate and solve issues related to shipping discrepancies Generate and maintain SOPs for packaging & shipping standards Able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers Package and ship hazardous materials in accordance with domestic and international regulations Generate paperwork for shipments going through freight forwarding companies Use ERP system to process orders Maintain work area in a neat, organized, and clean manner at all times Work with inventory team when inaccuracies are discovered Work with Quality Assurance to correct any
FAA 8130-3
forms Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required. Some college or training in a logistics field required 2+ years of experience in a shipping or logistics field required Prior use of Shipping Solutions or similar software is preferred Ability to pass hazardous material training to obtain certification for shipping and handling Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and effective communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to effectively manage stress, including competing work demands and multiple projects at the same time. Be self-motivated and maintain consistent activity Able to contribute a positive attitude while handling external pressures Familiarity with 49 CFR and IATA regulations preferred

Pay Range Salary Range:
USD $22.87/Hr. - USD $34.31/Hr. Sign On Bonus
