Up to $100,000 This is a great opportunity for an experienced customs professional to join a busy freight forwarding environment, taking ownership of the customs entry process and ensuring all imports are handled accurately and in line with U.S. Customs requirements. The ideal candidate will bring solid customs brokerage experience, a strong understanding of CBP regulations and import procedures, and the ability to manage multiple entries efficiently while providing reliable support to clients throughout the import process.

Review and process customs entries in accordance with CBP regulations and requirements. Classify merchandise accurately using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS). Review commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and other import documentation. Ensure correct duties, taxes, tariffs, and fees are assessed and paid. Communicate with clients, CBP, government agencies, carriers, and internal operations teams. Monitor shipments through the customs clearance process and resolve entry issues or holds. Provide guidance to customers regarding customs regulations, classification, valuation, and compliance. Assist with customs audits, documentation requests, and compliance reviews. Identify and resolve discrepancies, entry errors, and documentation issues. Stay current with changes to U.S. Customs regulations, tariffs, and import requirements. Work closely with freight forwarding and operations teams to ensure smooth international shipments. Maintain accurate records and ensure all customs documentation is properly retained. Requirements Valid U.S. Customs Broker License is required. 3+ years of experience in U.S. customs brokerage within an international freight forwarding or logistics environment. Strong knowledge of CBP regulations, customs entry procedures, and HTS classification. Experience handling a variety of international import shipments. Strong understanding of customs documentation and compliance requirements. Experience working with customs brokerage or freight forwarding software. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and customer-service skills. Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
