Job Title:
Import Brokerage Supervisor Company/Industry:
Well-established logistics/freight forwarding company
Location:
Garden City, NY Salary:
$80-100K/yr Commensurate with experience + benefits
Status:
Direct Hire, FT, On-site Mon-Fri (hybrid after 90 days)
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and support entry writers to ensure accurate and timely customs clearance Lead departmental operations with a focus on efficiency, compliance, and profitability Develop and maintain a strong team infrastructure, fostering reliability and accountability Ensure full compliance with U.S. Customs and other governmental regulations Manage all aspects of customs clearance including document review, entry processing, auditing, payment, and post-entry reconciliation Collaborate with Sales and Business Development teams to support client retention and growth Provide technical expertise and guidance on import regulations and procedures
Qualifications:
Active U.S. Customs Broker License is a plus, not required 7-10+ years of experience in import operations and customs brokerage Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and compliance standards Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook Proven leadership skills and ability to manage cross-functional teams Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $80,000.00 - $100,000.00
