Import CoordinatorJob Description The Import Operations Customer Service Representative role is designed for an individual with excellent communication and customer service skills. In this position, you will be required to multitask and prioritize duties in a fast-paced environment while providing best-in-class customer service. This is an excellent career opportunity in an expanding and exciting industry. Responsibilities
+ Work with importers and U.S. Customs to prepare, transmit, clear, examine, and deliver international cargo arriving into the U.S.
+ Collaborate with airlines, steamship lines, and truck lines to facilitate the movement of shipments into the U.S.
+ Coordinate with Participating Government Agencies such as FDA, FCC, DOT, F&W, EPA, etc., to clear cargo arriving into the U.S.
+ Ensure adherence to customer SOPs, agency regulations, and company standards.
+ Enter, upload, or compile shipment importation and commercial invoice data into in-house software for transmission to U.S. Customs.
+ Conduct preliminary Entry Summary auditing.
+ Partner with clients on U.S. Customs entry requirements.
+ Perform other duties and projects as assigned. Essential Skills
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and manage time efficiently.
+ Strong accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
+ Organized and efficient approach to handling documentation and shipment workflows.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
+ Proficiency in using the internet for research and web-based systems.
+ Experience in clearance of air, ocean, truck, and rail cargo through U.S. Customs.
+ Familiarity with logistics, import operations, and freight forwarding processes.
+ Experience with data entry and documentation processes related to import shipments.
+ Ability to use email professionally for customer and internal communication. Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in Cargowise (CW1) software is a plus.
+ Knowledge of freight forwarding, ocean import, dispatch, invoicing, the person of lading, and cargo tracking system software. Work Environment This position is based in an office environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.44/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
