7:30 AM-4:00 PM or 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Occasional Saturdays may be required We are hiring an experienced Import/Export Coordinator to support export customers and shipping operations in Baytown, TX. This role coordinates customs and shipping activities, tracks containers, prepares documentation, and works closely with customs brokers, carriers, and government agencies. We're looking for someone with strong shipping/receiving or logistics experience who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Do Coordinate import/export customs and shipping activities Track containers through port systems and monitor vessel delays Verify container history and per diem information Coordinate fumigation and inspections with government agencies Provide required documentation for inspections and treatments Track cold treatments and investigate or resolve discrepancies Communicate with customs brokers regarding container deliveries and pickups Coordinate schedules with carriers and resolve shipping discrepancies Prepare accurate import/export documentation for government agencies Maintain detailed logs of inspections, fumigation, and treatments Prepare container documentation for operations and billing Maintain accurate shipping and compliance records Ensure activities follow applicable import/export and customs requirements What We're Looking For Minimum 3 years of warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience required High school diploma or GED required Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to identify and resolve problems in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of assigned tasks Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals Ability to adapt to changing deadlines and priorities Experience That Could Set You Apart Import/export or customs experience Food, warehousing, transportation, or logistics industry experience Knowledge of USDA regulations Experience communicating with government agencies Familiarity with the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Understanding of produce entry requirements and regulations Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including JDA or GLS Experience working directly with customs brokers and carriers Physical & Work Environment This position is primarily office-based but may require visits to warehouse areas, including environments at or below freezing. Candidates should be able to occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 20 lbs.
