Job Description

Job Summary The Interchange Gate Guard is responsible for verifying the entry and exit of transportation units into the interchange yards, ensuring that each movement complies with internal procedures and DOT, FMCSA, and CTPAT regulations. Monitor the physical conditions of the units, review the corresponding documentation, and execute CTPAT and random inspections for suspicious anomalies, substances, or activities, protecting the integrity of the supply chain. This role ensures operational security, document traceability and regulatory compliance, contributing to DX Xpress' corporate reputation and compliance. Duties Verify and register the entry and exit of all units. Validate operator identification, unit number, trailer, time and reason for entry or exit. Coordinate with the Customs and Border Crossing department the release of crossing-ready units. Perform complete physical inspections of 19-point CTPAT units Carry out random inspections to detect prohibited substances, unauthorized objects or signs of tampering. Document the results of each inspection with photographs and electronic records. Ensure compliance with minimum safety criteria at checkpoints.

Maintain digital and physical control of the documents delivered and received in each exchange. Requirements Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail. Ability to remain alert during long shifts and work independently with minimal supervision. Punctuality and flexibility with schedule is a must.
Pay:
$16.00 per hour
