Industry segments we serve are agriculture, plastic resins and forest products. We are currently seeking a permanent full time Export Logistics Agent to join our Spokane, Washington based team. Duties and Responsibilities to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation Coordinate and successfully manage export shipments and daily operations with customers, carriers and Ray-Mont's terminals Receive and translate customer orders into booking units Secure vessel space and manage the bookings with the ocean carriers Track and trace cargo from origin to destination Monitor and coordinate the progress of cargo loading with Ray-Mont's terminal operations team Ensure appropriate and timely communication is provided to customers Accurately build load reports tailored to customers' requirements Reconciling packing list discrepancies with Ray-Mont's terminals Process customer vendor disputes Other duties as assigned / required Essential Qualifications Ability to work under own initiative, as part of a team and with other teams Possess problem solving and critical thinking skills Ability to work efficiently and accurately under deadlines Demonstrated detail orientation Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated customer focus Ability to promote and preserve the reputation and values of the company Orientation towards cost-containment and risk-management Aptitude for global geographic place names Aptitude with English/Metric unit of measure conversions Ability to quickly master proprietary software Intermediate MS Office 365 skillset Ability to learn industry jargon Desirable / Preferred Knowledge and Skills Prior experience working in or managing one or more transportation modes including trucking rail or ocean; or Experience working in freight forwarding / NVOCC organizations or customs broker; or Prior experience working in customer service as either import or export shipper In addition to the above, Ray-Mont Logistics employees have the benefit of: Flexible schedule.
