We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and collaborative Accounting Director to lead our accounting and grant functions and serve as a trusted partner to executive leadership. This role provides oversight of accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, audits, grants, and team development while helping guide the organization's financial future. You'll oversee month-end and year-end close processes, direct audit activities, support budgeting and forecasting, manage grant accounting functions, and collaborate with leaders across the organization to provide meaningful financial insights. You'll also supervise and develop accounting staff while driving continuous process improvements. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience Minimum 3 years of leadership and staff management experience Experience with grants and regulatory compliance Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, and forecasting Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency Exceptional analytical, organizational, and leadership skills Preferred Qualifications CPA designation Nonprofit and/or healthcare industry experience NetSuite experience Experience managing government grants and external audits The Ideal Leader We're looking for someone who is: Strategic yet hands-on Comfortable partnering with executives and operational leaders Passionate about developing people and building strong teams Focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence Driven by purpose and meaningful impact If you enjoy transforming financial data into organizational insight, leading talented professionals, and helping an organization achieve its mission, we'd love to meet you.
