We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as Director of Accounting ("DA"). This executive role requires a high level of financial acumen, leadership, and operational insight to help guide our organization through continued growth and success.

Job Summary:

The Director of Accounting ("DA") is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organization, including financial planning, risk management, record-keeping, and reporting. The DA will also provide strategic guidance for business development, investment analysis, and operational efficiency, ensuring the financial sustainability of the company. In addition to core financial responsibilities, this role may have oversight of HR functions and office operations in coordination with other department leads. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver, a collaborative leader, and a trusted advisor who can help shape the long-term financial vision of Demetree Global.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the financial strategy, planning, and forecasting for the company. Oversee the preparation and accuracy of all financial reporting and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. Manage budgeting processes, cash flow, and capital allocations across entities. Partner with leadership to evaluate investment opportunities, real estate development projects, and risk management strategies. Supervise and mentor the accounting team, ensuring timely month-end and year-end closes. Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions. Collaborate with HR and benefits strategy, compliance, and organizational planning. Provide financial insights and performance metrics to support executive decision-making.

Responsibilities:

Services Overview The Director of Accounting will provide specialized Yardi integration, balance sheet accounting, cash flow management, valuation reporting, banking oversight, and consulting services for Demetree Global. The focus areas include cash flow reporting and management for trusts, the family office, companies, personal finances, and investment expectations, while continuously creating oversight and financial reviews. The consultant will build and maintain comprehensive reporting for cash flow and investments, tracking funds and ensuring ongoing assessment and management of investments for mark-to-market valuations and updates with book accounting. This includes mapping ownership structures and percentage changes, as well as updating personal financial statements (PFS) for ownership and beneficiaries. Additionally, the consultant will collaborate with accounting teams and external partners to ensure accurate and up-to-date investment and financial information.

Responsibilities:

Cash Flow Reporting & Management Track and manage cash flow for trusts, family offices, companies, personal finances, and investments Create financial oversight and periodic reviews Comprehensive Financial Reporting Develop reports to track cash flow and investments Ensure clear and accurate assessment of financial health Investment Oversight & Management Monitor investments for mark-to-market valuations and book accounting updates Ensure continuous assessment of investment performance Ownership Structure & Financial Statements Map ownership and percentage changes Update personal financial statements (PFS) for ownership and beneficiaries. Collaborate with Accounting & External Partners Work with internal accounting teams Coordinate with external partners for financial accuracy and updates

Oversee Asset Valuation and Management and Ongoing Asset and Investment Analysis Continuous Monitoring and Reporting:

Regularly evaluate all investments from an asset management and valuation standpoint, providing continuous oversight and updates. Prepare and present reports on each investment.

Investment Analysis:

Conduct thorough analyses of potential and existing investments to identify opportunities for profitability and growth.

Market Analysis:

Perform market analysis to identify target markets, term cap rates, rent growth assumptions, and other critical factors.

Financial Consulting and Compliance:

Audit Management:

Lead public and private audits for individual LP deals and funds. Ensure a thorough audit trail and compliance disclosures are maintained for all financial activities. Collaboration with

Team Assessment and Structure:

Evaluate the current finance team to ensure the right members are in place. Foster a culture of growth and excellence by providing team members with the tools and resources they need to succeed.

Consistent Communication:

Implement a structured meeting schedule with a clear agenda to maintain consistent dialogue and ensure team alignment.

Empowerment and Ownership:

Grant team members the autonomy to complete tasks independently, fostering a sense of ownership and responsibility in their work.

Replacement of Team Membership:

If a team member is not working out or leaves will lead the effort to find a replacement with our in house staff.

Team Performance Reports:

Meeting Summaries:

Provide summaries of team meetings, including key discussions and action items.

Performance Reviews:

Conduct and report on regular performance reviews of team members, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.

Investment Recommendations:

Investment Analysis Reports:

Submit detailed analysis reports for potential investments, including profitability assessments and market analysis.

Strategic Recommendations:

Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and market research.
