Autos In Motion is seeking an experienced Controller / Head of Accounting to lead the accounting and financial operations of our company. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can take ownership of the accounting function while providing management with clear, accurate, and useful financial information. Experience in the trucking industry is a strong plus, but not required. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day accounting operations Prepare and review monthly financial statements Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable Oversee bank reconciliations, general ledger activity, and month-end close Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting Analyze company profitability, operating costs, and financial performance Develop and maintain financial controls and accounting procedures Work closely with ownership and management on financial planning and decision-making Monitor receivables, payables, and working capital Coordinate with outside CPAs, banks, insurance providers, and other financial partners as needed Improve financial reporting and provide management with useful financial and operational KPIs Qualifications Prior experience in a Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar financial leadership role Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting Experience managing the full accounting cycle Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial analysis Ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas affecting profitability Strong organizational and analytical skills Comfortable working in a hands-on environment and taking ownership of the accounting department Experience working directly with ownership or senior management preferred Trucking industry experience is highly preferred We are looking for someone who can do more than simply maintain the books.
