Job Description

Crown Linen Service, a well-established, fourth-generation family-owned multi-entity organization in the commercial laundry and linen industry serving a high-volume customer base, is seeking a progressive, hands-on Director of Finance and Accounting to lead accounting operations, payroll, financial strategy, and business planning across the organization. This is a senior leadership role for a progressive finance professional who thrives in operational environments and takes ownership of outcomes, not just processes. The Director of Finance and Accounting will oversee financial reporting, payroll, AR performance, cash flow visibility, audit coordination, and internal controls while serving as a strategic financial partner to executive leadership. This role requires both operational excellence and forward-thinking financial strategy, including banking relationship management, financial modeling, and strategic planning capabilities. Salary Range (including bonus incentive): $175,00 - $200,000 depending on experience and qualifications Key Responsibilities Financial Accuracy and Reporting Excellence Lead timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Own financial reporting accuracy and GAAP compliance Lead annual audit process and coordinate tax compliance Provide financial reporting to internal leaders and banking partners Cash Flow, Liquidity and Balance Sheet Stewardship Monitor and manage working capital performance across AP, AR, inventory and other balance sheet areas. Analyze, assess, and approve capex requests per policy Develop cash flow forecasting and financial visibility tools to maintain strong liquidity position Maintain timely and accurate covenant reporting Financial Planning and Annual Budget Execution Develop and maintain accurate multi-year financial plans (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) Drive annual budgets ensuring alignment with strategic goals Develop scenario models to support strategic decisions and capital investments Strategic Partnership with CEO, President, and Banking Partners Partner directly with executive leadership on financial performance, strategic planning, and business growth initiatives Manage banking relationships and optimize credit facility utilization Prepare comprehensive lender reporting, ensure covenant compliance, and maintain proactive communication with lending partners Leadership and Development Build and mentor a high-performing accounting team Oversee payroll, AR and AP Develop departmental goals and expectations while maintaining accountability Connect financials with operations, purchasing, and sales Establish budget discipline and ensure actions are taken to drive results Required Qualifications Strong GAAP and accounting leadership background with strategic finance experience Experience in operational or AR-intensive businesses, preferably in service industries Proven cash flow and working capital management capability with strategic financial planning experience Experience with managing banking relationships and credit facilities Multi-entity experiences preferred Proficiency with Sage (required) CPA or CMA strongly preferred Demonstrated leadership and accountability for results Strategic thinking with ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights Experience in family-owned or multi-generational businesses preferred Crown Linen Service, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
