We are looking for someone with a great attitude to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals committed to delivering exceptional service and supporting the financial health of our organization.REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of 4 years of management experience in Patient Accounting or a related healthcare revenue cycle field. Proficiency in health insurance billing, collections, and eligibility processes related to commercial, managed care, government, and self-pay reimbursement. Working knowledge ofICD-9, ICD-10, ICD-11, HCPCS
codes, and third-party billing requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and a positive attitude. Ability to work independently, follow through on projects, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director of Patient Accounting is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Patient Financial Services, including billing, collections, customer service, cash posting, denial management, and budget preparation. This leadership role ensures the efficient operation of revenue cycle functions through strategic planning, performance monitoring, and continuous process improvement. The Director will establish and maintain internal controls to support accurate and timely billing, monitor key performance indicators such as accounts receivable days and cash flow, and utilize data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Responsibilities also include developing departmental budgets, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, implementing policies and procedures, and supporting ongoing staff development through education, training, and mentorship. The Director serves as a key member of the management team, promoting operational excellence and supporting Aspire Rural Health System's mission, vision, and organizational goals while maintaining awareness of healthcare industry changes that impact billing and collection processes.
