Job Description

  • Director, Account Management Planning and Deployment
  • The Director, Account Management Planning and Deployment (AMPD) reports to the VP Market Access, Head of Access Marketing, Advocacy, and Account Management and plays a critical role in enabling the Account Management leadership team to execute against strategic priorities.
Acting as an effective Chief of Staff, this role ensures cross-functional resources, systems, processes, and operating rhythms are aligned to remove barriers, optimize execution, and support the delivery of account management objectives.
  • YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The primary responsibilities of this role, Director, Account Management Planning and Deployment (AMPD), are to: + Partner closely with the VP Market Access, Head of Account Management and the Account Management Leadership Team to align priorities, resources, and execution plans across the organization.
+ Serve as a strategic Chief of Staff by providing structure, coordination, and follow-through on critical initiatives, operational plans, leadership meetings, business reviews, and team communications. + Support account planning, deployment, launch metrics, customer opportunity identification, and development of 90-day operational plans. + Identify bottlenecks, workflow gaps, and execution barriers; develop and implement solutions that improve ways of working and accelerate delivery of shared goals. + Maintain a clear enterprise view of Account Management priorities, team activity, stakeholder needs, and resource alignment to help filter non-priorities and enable timely decision-making. + Lead performance management infrastructure, including KPI development, scorecards, dashboards, launch trackers, segmentation models, and reporting mechanisms that drive accountability and recognize performance. + Translate complex topics into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. + Proactively aligns ways of working to optimize organizational capabilities across Access Marketing, ABPs, Advocacy, Account Management, Analytics, and HEOR. + Coordinate with Market Access Marketing, Pull Through, Field Reimbursement, HEOR, Medical, Customer Engagement, Field Operations, Analytics, Finance, Contracting, Pricing and Reimbursement, and other enabling functions to ensure aligned execution. + Ensure customer insights are collected, shared, and incorporated into coordinated channel strategies, deployment plans, and engagement models. + Plan and facilitate staff meetings, national business meeting support, town hall inputs, survey administration, and other operating mechanisms that support effective Account Management execution and Department wide effectiveness. + Act as a strategic driver of AI adoption and execution to drive efficiencies within the scope of the broader team, taking lead in finding improved productivity and organizational savings with greater ROI.

  • Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
  • Required Qualifications:
  • + Bachelor's degree required; PharmD and/or MBA preferred in business, marketing, or a related field.
+ Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and drive timely execution. + Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. + Proven teamwork, collaboration, business acumen, analytical thinking, interpretation, and business problem-solving skills. + Ability to operate independently in ambiguous situations and apply strategic judgment to complex business challenges. + Excellent presentation, verbal communication, and stakeholder management skills. + Ability to work under pressure and meet short timeframes. + Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • + PharmD and/or MBA preferred in business, marketing, or a related field.
+ 7+ years of related experience in the healthcare industry, including sales, marketing, account management, or related commercial roles preferred. + 2+ years of managed markets experience preferred. + 2+ years of supervisory experience or experience leading teams, initiatives, or cross-functional workstreams preferred. + Recent payer account management or leadership experience within the past three years preferred. + Experience executing market access strategies for accounts and working with internal operations functions preferred. + Business operations experience preferred. Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $177,600 to $266,400. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
