Overview
This position requires lifting up to 30 lbs., standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. As well as standing for the duration of the work shift except on breaks and mealtimes.

Wappinger Falls, NY (in office role, 4 days/week, Friday WFH after probation period); Hybrid possible, (travel required twice a month)Probation Period:
90 days The Corporate Accounting Director reports to the Chief Financial Officer and will be jointlyresponsible for the company's accounting practices per US GAAP, maintenance of financial records, month-end and period end close cycles, day to day management of cash cycles and cash flow management/forecasting, all direct and indirect tax compliance and filings, supporting the external audit process, and preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements. The Corporate Accounting Director will supervise a team of 4-5 staff accountants and Accounting Supervisors. Additional responsibilities include establishing and maintaining strong internal controls, helping the broader finance and business functions to develop and document accounting policies and procedures, finalizing the notes to the financial statements, assuring the integrity of databases and information reported, and overseeing of General Accounting, including Payroll, monthly closings, inter-company accounting, lease accounting, related party transactions reporting, summarizing financial statements/reporting for bank covenants and adoption of any new accounting standards/IFRS etc. Responsibilities- Ensure monthly intercompany transactions are reconciled in all the subsidiary and parent companies.
- Work closely with the Manager of Financial Reporting, Planning & Analysis to ensure the integrity of the monthly financial statements.
- Maintain the
SAP ERP GL
system module and related accounts to ensure the integrity of the general ledger.- Ensure all balance sheet general ledger accounts are reconciled in a timely manner.
- Develop, implement, document, and maintain Corporate and US GAAP accounting policies and procedures.
- Evaluate, implement, document and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Research accounting issues and monitor accounting transactions and financial reporting to ensure compliance with US GAAP.
- Manage the accounting for fixed assets and provide accounting support for AP, AR and Payroll.
- Oversee and manage the direct Income tax returns preparation, data submission, and relationship management in conjunction with the external tax advisors.
- Oversee and manage Sales & Use tax compliance working with third party preparer to ensure timely filing of returns. Facilitates / leads jurisdictional audits. and other matters as presented by tax authorities including responding to requests for information.
- Develop and implement approaches to improve the accuracy of data and the efficiency of collecting and reporting financial and business information.
- Assist the finance and business functions with supporting data and analysis to assist with strategy development across gross margin improvement all discretionary spend categories and analyze new process improvements in accounting.
- Assists in data collection, analysis, and the development of business cases for business process improvements.
- Manage accounting staff by recruiting, selecting, coaching, and training employees. Enhance cross-functional coordination, improve internal financial communications, and develop and coach staff members, providing both informal and annual written performance evaluations.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, etc. Qualifications
- Mid-level, 10+ years of Controller level or Director level experience in general accounting and financial analysis
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance
- US CPA highly preferred (or Chartered Accountant, ACCA, CMA etc); or Master's in Accounting
- strong technical accounting skills are a must
- Strong experience in formal ERP system environments, e.g., SAP, Oracle, and Dynamics, both conceptual/high-level understanding and hands-on experience.
- Ability to lead, direct, and motivate staff.

- Base Salary Range
- $170,000
- $185,000, depending on experience and qualifications
- Annual Discretionary Bonus tied to financial and performance KPIs
- typically 10
- 12% of annual base salary
