Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students through a contract position as a Physical Therapist, covering a leave from October 16, 2026, to February 5, 2027. This opportunity focuses on working with elementary and middle school students, empowering them to achieve their physical and educational goals in a collaborative environment near Wappingers Falls, NY. Enjoy a flexible schedule with three days a week, 8:30am to 3pm, allowing you to make a difference while maintaining work-life balance.
Desired Experience & Requirements:
Current PT license or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree Experience working in school settings, particularly with IEP-mandated services Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, staff, and families Ability to conduct thorough evaluations and reevaluations for students Proficiency in participating in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy sessions for students as defined by their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Complete comprehensive assessments for new and returning students Attend and contribute to CSE meetings to support educational planning Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and outcomes Collaborate closely with educational teams and families to optimize student achievement
