The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong background in both public and private sector accounting, with a passion for fostering a culture of transparency and fiscal responsibility. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting, including AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations, cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting . Prepare monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reports and explain financial results to ownership and management. Track client profitability, project margins, labor utilization, and marketing spend. Handle sales tax, payroll tax, 1099s, and federal/state compliance. Work with external accountants on tax preparation. Maintain confidentiality of payroll, client financial information, and company records. Provide financial insight and support to company leadership. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA preferred, but not required. 5-15 years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in a Controller, Comptroller, or Accounting Manager role. Strong experience with QuickBooks Online, Excel, payroll, and expense-management systems. Tax-basis accounting experience required. Law firm, marketing, or advertising agency experience is a plus.
