Multi billion dollar multi entity healthcare organization targeting an Accounting Director to join the growing team!
TITLE:
Director of Accounting SALARY:
150-$170k + bonus + equity
LOCATION
West LA 4 days onsite, Friday Work From Home
REPORTS TO
VP of Accounting & Controller SYSTEMS:
Experience with ERP platforms required; Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains experience preferred Position Overview Seeking a seasoned accounting leader to oversee complex accounting operations within a large scale, publicly traded environment. This role will be responsible for leading core accounting functions across a multi entity organization, with significant exposure to partnership accounting, consolidations, financial reporting, and process optimization. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical accounting foundation, leadership experience in fast paced organizations, and the ability to manage financial operations across domestic and international entities. This individual will partner closely with executive leadership and cross functional teams to support accurate reporting, operational efficiency, compliance initiatives, and strategic growth objectives. Key Responsibilities Oversee accounting activities related to partnership structures, including equity allocations, capital account activity, distributions, and associated reporting requirements Lead consolidation efforts across multiple legal entities and international operations, including intercompany eliminations and foreign currency considerations Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting Review journal entries, reconciliations, financial analyses, and supporting schedules for completeness and accuracy Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and reporting standards applicable to publicly traded organizations Collaborate with departments including FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and Operations to support financial initiatives and business decisions Drive improvements in accounting processes, reporting workflows, and internal controls to support organizational scalability Coordinate external audit activities and serve as a primary liaison with auditors and third party advisors Research and evaluate technical accounting matters, including implementation of new accounting standards and complex transactions Mentor and develop accounting team members while fostering a collaborative and high performance culture Support system enhancements and process automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline required CPA designation strongly preferred Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities within a complex multi entity organization Strong knowledge of partnership accounting, consolidations, intercompany accounting, and financial reporting Prior experience within a publicly traded or highly regulated environment preferred Experience managing global or multi currency accounting operations is highly desirable Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial controls, and audit processes Proven ability to lead month end close processes and improve accounting operations in high growth environments Strong analytical, organizational, leadership, and communication skills Experience working within large ERP systems and enterprise level accounting environments preferred
