+ RSUs The Client We're excited to be partnering with a high-growth, publicly traded biopharmaceutical company that is redefining treatment in a specialized therapeutic area. Built on a proprietary, technology-led delivery platform, the business has developed a differentiated pipeline designed to reduce the burden of the current standard of care and position it as a leader in its field. Recently raised $450m through an IPO, the company already has a commercial drug on the market and is preparing to launch its second, which has been fast-tracked by the FDA. About the Role This newly created Director, Assistant Corporate Controller role reports to the Corporate Controller and takes ownership of the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal control environment. You'll lead and mentor a high-performing accounting team through the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, own the accuracy and timeliness of internal and external financial statements, and act as the primary technical accounting resource across the business. This is a hands-on leadership role that pairs deep technical expertise with operational execution, suited to someone who thrives as a trusted partner across functions in a rapidly scaling environment. Key Responsibilities Lead, supervise, and mentor the accounting team through an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close Review close deliverables including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for completeness and accuracy Own the timely production of internal and external financial statements in line with U.S. GAAP and emerging FASB and SEC guidance Prepare and review SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and disclosure compliance Serve as the primary technical accounting resource across revenue recognition, R D expense, inventory and valuation, and debt and equity arrangements Draft, implement, and maintain accounting policies, supporting technical positions with white papers Lead the implementation of new accounting standards and coordinate cross-functional impact assessments Partner with external auditors across quarterly reviews and the annual audit, and support an effective SOX 404 control environment What We're Looking For Strong command of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements for publicly traded companies In-depth SOX knowledge, with a track record of implementing and maintaining financial controls, policies, and procedures Technical accounting depth across revenue recognition, R D, inventory, and debt and equity arrangements Strong project management skills, able to prioritize multiple initiatives concurrently with accuracy and attention to detail A collaborative, consultative team player comfortable operating hands-on in a fast-paced, scaling environment Nice to
