This is a high-impact leadership opportunity offering a hybrid work schedule based in Northborough, MA 01532 , conveniently located next to Marlborough.
Salary:
$185,000-$215,000 The Tax Director will lead tax accounting, compliance, reporting, and internal controls initiatives while partnering closely with executive leadership and finance teams. This role is ideal for a strategic tax professional with strong public company experience and deep technical expertise. Key Responsibilities Lead all aspects of income tax accounting and reporting, including quarterly and annual tax provisions. Oversee federal, state, local, and international tax compliance processes. Manage and review ASC 740 calculations, tax provision documentation, and related disclosures. Ensure compliance with SOX controls and maintain a strong internal control environment. Partner with finance and accounting leadership on tax planning initiatives and business transactions. Support audits, tax examinations, and interactions with external auditors. Monitor tax law changes and assess impacts on the organization. Provide leadership, mentorship, and development to the tax team. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA and/or MST preferred. 10+ years of progressive corporate tax experience. Strong public company tax experience. Must have extensive ASC 740 expertise. Must have SOX compliance and internal controls experience. Experience managing tax provisions, reporting, and compliance functions. Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience within manufacturing, technology, or multinational organizations. Exposure to international tax matters. Experience with tax technology and process improvement initiatives.
