Posting Details Position Information Job Title Lecturer, Department of Accounting Full Time / Part Time Full Time Job Type Faculty Reports To Dean, College of Business Position Summary The Department of Accounting at Bryant University invites applications for a Lecturer position beginning in August 2026. Salary is market based and commensurate with preparation, experience, and demonstrated performance. The successful candidate will contribute to our undergraduate and graduate accounting programs. We seek applicants with broad expertise across accounting disciplines, including but not limited to financial accounting, managerial accounting, auditing, taxation, and accounting information systems. Particular interest will be given to candidates with an understanding of current and emerging technologies in accounting, including artificial intelligence, data analytics, automation, and digital transformation of accounting processes. This position requires a strong commitment to teaching excellence. In addition, the position requires contributions to service activities at the department, college, and university levels. Principal Accountabilities Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in accounting, including core courses in financial and managerial accounting, and upper-level or graduate electives aligned with the candidate's expertise. Develop and deliver course materials that integrate current professional standards, industry practices, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies (including AI, data analytics, and automation) into the accounting curriculum. Contribute to the development, assessment, and continuous improvement of the accounting curriculum, including support for AACSB accreditation and other assurance-of-learning initiatives. Collaborate with faculty colleagues and mentor Bryant students to enhance student engagement, professional readiness, and learning outcomes. Build and maintain connections with the accounting profession and business community to support experiential learning, internships, and career placement. Serve as an active member of the Bryant University community through service and engagement activities. Qualifications Required Qualifications Master's degree in Accounting or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution (or equivalent accreditation). Significant professional experience in accounting or a related field (e.g., public accounting, corporate accounting, consulting, audit, tax, advisory, or accounting systems). Demonstrated teaching effectiveness at the university level or strong evidence of potential for excellence in teaching. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications CPA or other relevant professional certification. Experience incorporating technology into accounting instruction, including exposure to AI tools, data analytics platforms, ERP systems, robotic process automation (RPA), or accounting information systems. Experience with experiential, project-based, or practice-oriented learning approaches. Interest in contributing to innovative curriculum initiatives at the intersection of accounting, analytics, and artificial intelligence.
