Responsibilities:
Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture by building strong cross-functional relationships, mentoring staff, and supporting employee development and performance growth. Lead all aspects of the accounting function, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; preparation of financial statements; general ledger management; accounts payable and receivable; and account reconciliations. Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting while maintaining compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. Develop, implement, and monitor accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to strengthen financial governance and support audit readiness. Manage and develop the accounting team, overseeing daily operations, setting priorities, and ensuring efficient execution of departmental objectives. Drive continuous improvement through process optimization, automation initiatives, and effective utilization of ERP and financial systems. Partner with organizational leaders to analyze financial results, provide strategic guidance, translate financial data into actionable business insights, and support growth initiatives and key investments.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred 7-10 years' progressive accounting experience CPA preferred Maintain and optimize accounting processes, policies, and procedures Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members Oversee daily operations of the accounting function and assign work priorities Drive automation, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives Ensure effective use of ERP and financial systems
