West Lafayette Job Summary This on-campus position in the Division of Financial Aid requires part-time work (10-15 hours per week) during the academic year with optional full-time hours during Purdue breaks. Peer Counselors will choose the hours that best fit around their class schedule each semester. The required summer 2027 and summer 2028 hours will be Mon-Fri 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with the opportunity to take 2 weeks of unpaid vacation time each summer. We ask that a student stay a minimum of two years or longer. After completing training and learning how financial aid processes work, the Peer Counselors help Purdue students and their parents by answering questions on the phone, and via email, regarding the FAFSA application, financial aid eligibility and current aid status.
