Job Description

Caldwell University invites applications for a full-time Counselor of Financial Aid. Reporting to the Director of Financial Aid, the Counselor is responsible for providing information regarding financial aid to students and parents, for preparing reports, and for preparing and sending financial aid information to students. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Provide customer service and counseling to students and parents via telephone or in-person regarding financial aid programs and sources of tuition financing. Review student accounts with families and ensure aid has been posted properly to account. Provide front desk professional support along with other One Stop Offices. Prepare and communicate financial aid packages to students through mail and/or electronic notification. Learn and keep up to date with financial aid rules and regulations and work to become efficient in ways of rewarding federal, state, and Caldwell funds. Assist with the management and reconciliation of the federal grant programs. Provide support to the Work Study Coordinator for program and payroll reconciliation. Act as back-up to the Veterans' benefits School Certifying Officer. Present to students and families at various on and off-campus events. Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends. A Bachelor's degree preferred, plus one to two years experience in Enrollment Management is required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office ( Word, Excel) and Google Suite ( Calendar, GMail, Docs, Sheets).
