Phoenix, AZ 85281 The Analyst, Accounting Automation will support the Payroll Automation Team by gathering business requirements, analyzing payroll and accounting processes, supporting system testing and implementation, and maintaining process documentation. The role focuses heavily on SAP Payroll and requires strong business systems analysis, functional design, process modeling, regression testing, and UAT experience. The position will also support payroll interfaces, general ledger processes, and internal control documentation.

Job Responsibilities:

Gather and document business requirements related to payroll and accounting activities Analyze information from multiple sources and translate requirements into clear business documentation Develop and maintain business requirements, process flows, test plans, test scripts, and test results Support SAP Payroll system activities and related payroll processes Analyze payroll and business processes and identify opportunities for improvement Assist with functional design and process modeling for payroll and accounting systems Develop and execute testing activities for payroll systems and downstream applications Perform regression testing, implementation testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Support testing of payroll system interfaces and related downstream systems Assist with implementation activities for payroll and accounting system changes Analyze and document impacts to payroll systems and the general ledger Represent the department in internal and external meetings Communicate business requirements, testing results, and project updates effectively Assist in identifying and documenting internal controls in support of audit activities Work with SAP surrounding teams and support related projects and initiatives Review and interpret labor agreements as required to support payroll processes Manage multiple assignments and changing priorities with minimal supervision Maintain accurate and detailed documentation throughout the project lifecycle Support payroll automation and process improvement initiatives Perform additional accounting, payroll, systems analysis, and testing activities as assigned
