Job description We are thrilled to advertise the Senior Financial Analyst position for the Wonderfield Group! Business Overview The Wonderfield Group is owned by Zensho Holdings, the leading food service company in Japan with a market capitalization of over $5.5billion and whose aim is to become the world's largest food company, a position from which we can eradicate hunger and poverty from around the globe. Wonderfield operates restaurants, factories, and thousands of sushi kiosks and has recently built a successful cut fruit business, Snowfruit. Wonderfield enjoys annual sales of over $2.5billion and EBITDA in excess of $140m a year with an ambitious growth trajectory. About the Role The Senior Financial Analyst will serve as a key business partner to operations, supply chain, and executive leadership. This role is responsible for financial planning and analysis, warehouse and logistics cost modeling and profitability analysis across distribution channels, product categories and customers. The successful candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of supply chain cost drivers, understand cost-to-serve concepts and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights. Key Responsibilities & Duties Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes, incorporating warehouse operations, 3PL, and distributor cost structures. Develop and maintain financial models for sales, gross margin, and distribution costs. Provide monthly variance analysis, highlighting risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations. Operations & Supply Chain Support Partner with warehouse, procurement, and logistics leaders to analyze labor, freight, storage, and handling costs. Evaluate 3PL and distributor performance, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency. Track KPIs such as inventory turns, warehouse productivity, order fulfillment cost, and freight expense per unit. Profitability & Business Insights Perform customer, channel, and product-level profitability analysis. Support pricing and margin strategy decisions with scenario modeling. Provide insight into capital investment decisions (e.g., warehouse expansion, automation, fleet vs. 3PL). Provide actionable insights to optimize margin across divisions. Intercompany Profit Allocation Develop, maintain, and enhance allocation methodologies across divisions. Prepare monthly profit allocation schedules with full audit-ready documentation. Ensure allocation logic aligns with transfer pricing principles and corporate policy. Partner with tax and accounting to ensure compliance with GAAP / IFRS and transfer pricing requirements. Reporting & Decision Support Prepare financial dashboards and executive reports that translate complex data into clear insights. Support leadership with ad-hoc analysis, strategic projects, and board-level presentations. Ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls. Cross Divisional Engagement Present allocation results and financial insights to divisional finance and operational leaders. Translate complex allocation mechanics into clear business impact. Facilitate working sessions with divisions to identify margin improvement opportunities. Support dispute resolution related to allocation methodology or margin impact. Other Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field;
MBA/CPA/CFA
preferred. 5-8+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, preferably in food, wholesale, distribution, or supply chain-driven industries. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and 3PL cost structures. Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to partner cross-functionally and influence decision-making at all levels.
