Job Description
Chipman Relocation & Logistics has been moving families and businesses since 1939. The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and budgeting support to help drive informed business decisions. This position analyzes financial and operational data, identifies trends and opportunities, prepares financial models, and delivers actionable insights to management. Some of the job duties include:
- Prepare and analyze recurring financial and operational reports, including sales, revenue, profitability, commissions, cash flow, and key performance indicators.
- Develop financial forecasts, annual budgets, and reforecasts in partnership with branch and department leaders to support business planning and decision-making.
- Perform branch and service-line profitability analysis, budget variance reporting, margin validation, and financial performance reviews.
- Manage compliance-related financial reporting, audit support, lease and CAM reconciliations, and statutory filing workpapers while ensuring data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare executive and board-level financial reporting, dashboards, and business performance summaries.
- Conduct strategic financial analyses, including capital investment evaluations, pricing and margin analysis, cash flow and covenant modeling, acquisition and expansion modeling, and other projects supporting executive leadership and the CFO. Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with advanced Excel;
- Ability to work fluently from accounting actuals and translate them into management insight
- Strong communication skills and comfort presenting to executive leadership
