Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business and Personal Finance Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis, approximately 20 hours per week. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting students through financial guidance and educational administration. The coordinator will play a vital role in managing financial literacy initiatives, providing personalized support, and ensuring compliance with educational policies while fostering an inclusive environment for students from diverse backgrounds. Duties Develop and deliver engaging presentations on personal finance topics, including budgeting, credit management, and student loans, utilizing public speaking skills to effectively communicate complex concepts. Manage student financial information using systems such as Ellucian or PeopleSoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with institutional policies. Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to support students' financial literacy, career planning, and academic success. Mentor students by providing guidance on educational pathways, financial planning, and career development strategies. Collaborate with academic staff to integrate financial literacy into broader student support services and ensure compliance with educational regulations. Assist in the administration of financial aid processes and maintain detailed records within student information systems. Support students from diverse cultural backgrounds by delivering culturally sensitive advice and fostering an inclusive environment. Qualifications Proven experience in education administration or student support roles within academic institutions. Strong communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively in public speaking settings. Proficiency with student information systems such as Ellucian or PeopleSoft, along with Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting purposes. Experience in individual or group counseling focused on financial literacy or career advising. Knowledge of educational compliance laws, mandated reporting requirements, and school policies related to student welfare. Familiarity with academic advising practices, mentoring techniques, and working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds. Excellent analysis skills to assess student needs and develop tailored support strategies.
