We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join a growing team in Valencia, California. In this role, you will help guide business decisions through planning, performance analysis, and insightful reporting while working closely with leaders across the organization. This position combines hands-on financial analysis with dashboard development and systems support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both strategic thinking and process improvement.
Responsibilities:
Lead support for company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning activities. Evaluate business performance by reviewing profit and loss trends, revenue, costs, margins, and volume drivers, and explain results against plans and prior periods. Create and refine financial models used for projections, what-if analysis, and decision support for strategic initiatives. Collaborate with teams across operations, sales, and management to identify trends and prepare clear reporting materials with actionable recommendations. Contribute financial insight to capital investments, acquisition-related analysis, and other high-priority business projects. Develop and maintain dashboards and recurring reports using Excel, Power BI, and Alteryx, drawing from enterprise systems and centralized data sources. Improve reporting processes and data workflows by identifying issues, increasing automation, and partnering with Finance and IT to strengthen data accuracy and consistency. Work with external technology providers on system enhancements, integrations, upgrades, and issue resolution related to financial reporting tools. Act as an internal resource for FP& A reporting questions and maintain documentation that supports standardized processes and knowledge sharing. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline. 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or FP& A, including at least 2 years in a planning and analysis environment. Proven ability to build financial models, interpret operating and financial results, and present insights to both finance and non-finance audiences. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, Power Query, and financial modeling techniques. Experience creating dashboards and visual reports with business intelligence platforms such as Power BI, along with Alteryx or comparable tools for data preparation and automation. Familiarity with ERP platforms, data warehouses, data lakes, or other reporting systems used in finance environments. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
