Job Description
Description Our client is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join their growing finance organization on a W2 hourly basis with the potential for an FTE role. This role is well suited for a financial analyst who enjoys turning complex data into practical business insight and partnering with teams across the company to improve planning accuracy. Finance managers that are now looking to take an individual contributor role are also invited to apply. This role is 4 days onsite, with Friday as remote. The ideal candidate brings experience in high-growth SaaS organizations and investment banking. However, candidates with only one of those industries will be considered. You must be comfortable supporting both near-term forecasting and longer-range financial strategy. NetSuite proficiency is ideal, however not mandatory. If this role converts to FTE, the salary range is between $120k/yr. to $150k/yr.
Responsibilities:
- Build, update, and strengthen integrated financial models across income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting to support planning and executive decision-making.
- Prepare short- and long-range cash projections and provide analysis that helps leadership manage liquidity with confidence.
- Work closely with accounting partners to align forecasts and budgets with actual financial results and maintain consistency in reporting.
- Partner with department leaders to manage operating expense planning, evaluate spending trends, and explain forecast-to-actual variances.
- Use NetSuite and related data sources to extract information, reconcile reporting details, and support core FP& A deliverables.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial planning workflows, elevate reporting quality, and enhance analytical methods used by the team.
- Assist with the review, rollout, and refinement of FP& A systems and tools that support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting needs.
- Deliver timely ad hoc financial analysis for strategic initiatives, operational priorities, and leadership requests.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment by sharing insights, solving problems proactively, and supporting cross-functional decision-making. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in FP& A, corporate finance, private equity, venture capital, or a similar analytical finance role.
- Background in SaaS, technology, private equity-backed, or other fast-paced growth-oriented business environments.
- Advanced Excel skills with demonstrated ability in financial modeling, scenario planning, and pivot table analysis.
- Practical experience with NetSuite and comfort working with transactional data for reporting and reconciliation purposes.
- Strong understanding of forecasting methods, variance analysis, and key SaaS financial performance metrics.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving ability with a self-directed approach to managing priorities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate financial findings into actionable recommendations.
