Job Duties and Responsibilities Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview. This role addresses the critical challenge of translating complex financial data into strategic narratives that drive corporate decision-making and operational efficiency. The corporate finance team faces the ongoing task of managing high-throughput, cross-functional budget cycles while maintaining meticulous accuracy across workforce planning and corporate allocations. Success requires navigating ambiguous financial landscapes, designing dynamic projection models, and identifying process optimization opportunities to streamline reporting for senior leadership and the Board of Directors. What Success Looks Like (Objectives) Manage the end-to-end budgeting process, including G&A expense modeling, corporate allocations, eliminations, and accuracy validation, ensuring all inputs align with corporate financial goals Act as a financial storyteller for the enterprise, distilling monthly and quarterly variances into clear, actionable insights that empower the CFO and cross-functional leadership to drive strategic outcomes Lead the preparation of high-impact presentations, including the annual budget deck for the Chairman, synthesizing complex financial narratives for senior leadership and Board review Partner with HR to drive enterprise-wide workforce planning, providing rigorous modeling and analysis of headcount and personnel-related costs to support long-term projections Architect dynamic financial models to track performance, identify trends, and deliver ad-hoc analyses that proactively guide leadership decisions across diverse business lines Collaborate closely with Accounting to drive operational excellence, providing oversight on reclassifications and process integrations to ensure financial reporting is both accurate and efficient Foster a culture of curiosity and adventure by applying an outside-the-box mindset to complex financial challenges, consistently seeking innovative ways to improve efficiency and data clarity to put EchoStar in a position to win Skills, Experience and Requirements Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring): Strong skills in advanced financial modeling, quantitative analysis, and interactive dashboard creation using Excel and Google Sheets. Exceptional collaboration and interpersonal skills to build productive cross-departmental relationships and influence strategic decision-making. Ability to resolve ambiguous business problems by systematically gathering data, interpreting complex trends, and delivering concise executive summaries. Proactive, growth-oriented mindset focused on challenging current processes to continuously improve operational efficiency and reporting quality. AI application literacy, with a demonstrated ability to utilize generative AI and data automation tools to streamline financial research and report production. Critical experience navigating high-speed, high-throughput environments with a high degree of organizational agility and attention to detail.
