DUTIES:
Analyze macroeconomic trends, financial market conditions, and industry developments for proprietary trading, asset management, and financial services company. Perform qualitative and quantitative statistical and economic research and develop analyses of potential investments and trading strategies. Develop statistical and forecasting models to evaluate market behavior and risk factors. Prepare research reports and evaluate the impact of interest rates, inflation, liquidity, market structure, emerging trends, and global economic indicators on financial markets. Advise management on economic and market cycles, asset performance, risks, and other factors for investment strategy and asset allocation. Research new technologies for complex statistical and data modeling techniques and conduct testing to enhance models and forecasts over time.
EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS
  • Master of Business Administration Degree or foreign equivalent.
  • 36 months' experience in quantitative and qualitative economics research, financial analysis, and forecasting in the investment and asset management sector.
  • Licenses:
    Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) and Series 3 National Commodities Futures.
  • Software:
    Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Domestic and international travel required to meet with clients and professionals (approximately 1 week per quarter).
