This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for an entry-level analyst who is eager to strengthen financial modeling, analytical thinking, and reporting skills while working closely with experienced team leadership. The position offers hands-on exposure to Excel-driven analysis and the chance to build a long-term career in finance within a collaborative, in-person environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day financial analysis by organizing data, reviewing trends, and preparing clear summaries for team use.
- Build and maintain spreadsheet-based models to assist with forecasting, budgeting, and performance evaluation.
- Partner with experienced team members to learn core analytical methods and apply them to real business and market data.
- Compile information from financial reports and other sources to help produce accurate recurring and ad hoc analysis.
- Use advanced Excel functions to clean, structure, and interpret large data sets efficiently.
- Assist in preparing materials that communicate findings, risks, and opportunities to internal stakeholders.
- Conduct research related to financial markets and relevant business metrics to support decision-making.
- Contribute to reporting processes by checking data accuracy and helping improve consistency across analyses. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent recent academic background.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data organization, and analytical spreadsheet work.
- Foundational knowledge of financial analysis, reporting concepts, and quantitative problem-solving.
- Ability to interpret data carefully and translate findings into practical business insights.
- Interest in developing skills in financial modeling and working in an analyst career path.
- Exposure to financial markets and familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an in-person team setting.
