Accounting Analyst Permanent Johns Creek GA 6 Degrees Group 6 Degrees Group is recruiting for an Accounting Analyst in Johns Creek, GA. This role supports a well-established manufacturing organization with a heavy analytical focus, working closely with the Controller and Assistant Controller. You'll compile, analyze, and reconcile plant-level and corporate financial data while building the Excel-based models and tools that drive monthly close and management reporting. Advanced Excel skills are essential here, along with the ability to dig into variances and partner directly with plant managers to get answers. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys building reporting infrastructure and working independently across a large, multi-location business.
Responsibilities:
Review and analyze plant-level general ledger activity, identifying and following up on variances Build and maintain advanced Excel models, workbooks, and automated reporting templates Post journal entries and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts monthly Support annual audit schedules and partner with plant and corporate teams on ad hoc analysis
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related analytical discipline 4+ years of accounting or financial analysis experience; Big 4 public accounting experience a plus Advanced Excel skills required, including pivot tables, lookup formulas, and Power Query Working knowledge of MS Access or similar database tools for querying large data sets
