  • Investment Specialist We are seeking to hire an Investment Strategist to join our office.
The Investment Strategist position focuses on four primary responsibilities: Executing the
Investment Management Process:
This process involves meeting with potential clients, discussing their goals and concerns, proposing investment portfolios, and implementing the investment portfolios. While beginning with a minimal role in the Process, the Investment Strategist role is expected to expand to cover the entirety of this Process.
Research:
The Investment Strategist will be responsible for researching various stocks, bonds, mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, and other investments. The Investment Specialist will meet with wholesalers and develop important relationships with investment companies and their representatives. This research will be shared internally as necessary with other members of the Wealth Management Team.
Modelling & Investment Allocation:
The Investment Strategist will be responsible for preparing recommendations based on current models, improving current models, implementing investment recommendations through allocating within and outside of models, as well as handling money-related tasks with Client Operations Team members.
Client Engagement:
The Investment Specialist will be responsible for providing regular communication with clients on investment strategy changes, macro-economic trends, and investment account updates. Updates may be provided through letters, emails, newsletters, phone calls, social media updates, or other approved platforms as necessary. Commentaries and presentation materials may be needed for prospects, clients, or outside entities.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
Bachelor's of Business Administration in Finance or other similar degree preferred
Certifications & Designations:
Series 6 and 63; 7 and 65 or 66 preferred; Designations representing knowledge in the field preferred
Experience:
2-5 years experience in the industry preferred
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with the basics of financial analysis, investment portfolio construction, history working with broker/dealer investment industry, or other relevant skillset preferred
