Commercial/Industrial Analyst A growing real estate tax law firm is seeking a Commercial/Industrial Analyst to join its Homewood, Illinois office. This is a full-time opportunity supporting attorneys and clients throughout the property tax appeal process, with exposure to commercial, industrial, and investment properties. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and interested in real estate, property tax, or legal analysis work. This position is fully onsite in Homewood, IL and follows a schedule of 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The salary range for this position is $65k-$75k, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. Prior experience in a law firm, real estate company, property tax environment, or municipal government setting is preferred. Skills required and Job Duties include the following:

Job Duties:

Prepare and file property tax appeal complaints and supporting documentation for commercial, industrial, and investment properties Draft factual summaries and preliminary briefs for attorney review Collect, organize, and submit supporting evidence, including appraisals, rent rolls, vacancy affidavits, and related documentation Manage case dockets and track filing deadlines, hearings, and evidentiary requirements Review assessment records, tax histories, and property record cards to identify appeal opportunities and discrepancies Assist with tax objection matters in Circuit Court, including court calls and document production Maintain case-tracking databases and monitor case status and outcomes Serve as a primary point of contact for clients regarding data requests, status updates, and general inquiries Coordinate with county officials on hearings, refund processing, and certificate of error applications Draft professional correspondence for clients, attorneys, and government agencies Support economic development and tax incentive matters, including Class 6b, 7, and 8 incentives and TIF-related filings after training

Qualifications :

Strong written communication skills with excellent grammar and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access Ability to independently manage a high volume of deadlines and competing priorities Professional communication skills when interacting with clients, attorneys, and government personnel Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree, or Paralegal Certificate preferred Prior experience in a law firm, real estate company, or municipal government setting preferred Familiarity with the Cook County property tax process is a plus Apply TODAY!
