The RoleThe VBS Finance Systems Analyst will support and maintain finance-related application processes, automation scripts and operational workflows. The role requires practical VBScript knowledge, strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to work with business and technical teams in a managed services environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support finance-related systems, scripts, automated processes and operational workflows in a production environment.
- Develop, execute, troubleshoot and maintain VBScript/VBS automations in accordance with business and technical requirements.
- Investigate application, script, interface and data issues; perform root cause analysis and support permanent corrective actions.
- Validate automated outputs, test changes and support functional, regression and automation testing activities.
- Work with finance users and technical teams to understand requirements, clarify issues and translate needs into practical solutions.
- Support incidents, service requests, problem management and change activities under established ITSM processes.
- Maintain documentation for scripts, operational procedures, known errors and knowledge articles.
- Identify opportunities to improve reliability, automation and operational efficiency across finance-related processes.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL AND FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
- Hands-on understanding of VBScript/VBS, including script execution, syntax, control structures, functions, error handling and data types.
- General programming knowledge and ability to analyze, troubleshoot and maintain automation scripts.
- Knowledge of testing and automation concepts, including validation of expected results and defect analysis.
- Working understanding of web development fundamentals and Windows-based environments.
- Basic system administration awareness relevant to application and script execution.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience working with incident, problem and change processes in an ITSM environment.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience supporting finance systems, financial reporting, reconciliations or finance-related business processes.
- Knowledge of VBA, Excel automation, SQL queries or relational database concepts.
- Experience with file-based interfaces, scheduled jobs or batch processing.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or an equivalent ITSM platform.
- Experience working in Agile, application support or global delivery environments.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Relevant experience in application support, scripting, automation or finance systems support.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and finance business users, manage priorities and work with appropriate supervision in a production support environment.
LANGUAGES
- Professional working proficiency in English, written and spoken.
- Fluent Spanish, written and spoken.
