Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join the finance team in Pittsburg, Kansas. In this role, you will turn complex financial data into clear recommendations that help leaders make informed business decisions and improve overall performance. This position offers the opportunity to contribute across planning, reporting, forecasting, and strategic analysis while partnering closely with operational and executive stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Drive the annual budgeting process, regular forecast updates, and longer-term financial planning activities to support company objectives. Examine financial performance, key metrics, and variances to uncover trends and provide actionable insights for leadership. Build and refine financial models used for scenario evaluation, profitability reviews, and business planning decisions. Produce recurring financial reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual review cycles, ensuring information is accurate and meaningful. Collaborate with business leaders to track departmental spending, assess operating results, and highlight opportunities to improve cost efficiency. Contribute to month-end and year-end close support by coordinating with accounting and finance partners on analysis and reporting needs. Deliver timely ad hoc analysis on revenue, operating expenses, capital projects, and other business initiatives as requested. Support strategic planning efforts, presentation materials for leadership, and reporting prepared for board-level discussions. Maintain consistency and reliability across financial data, reports, and analytical outputs. Participate in special initiatives such as reporting enhancements, process improvements, system-related projects, and business case preparation. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline. At least 4 years of experience in financial analysis, FP& A, or corporate finance roles. Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance review, and financial modeling techniques. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data accurately. Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial audiences. Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced business environment. Experience with financial systems, reporting platforms, or business intelligence tools is preferred. Familiarity with dashboard reporting, process improvement, and cross-functional business partnering is a plus.
