Job Description

Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) Analyst Salina, KS Great Plains Manufacturing is seeking a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) Analyst to join our Corporate Purchasing team in Salina, KS. The FTZ Analyst is responsible for supporting the daily operations of Great Plains Manufacturing's Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) and ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the Foreign-Trade Zone Board, the Bureau of Census, and other applicable government agencies. This position works closely with customs brokers, warehouse operations, logistics providers, and internal departments to ensure imported and exported goods are accurately tracked, reported, and processed according to regulatory requirements. The FTZ Analyst also helps maintain accurate inventory records, customs documentation, and reporting to support compliance and operational efficiency. This is a salaried, on-site position at our CE facility in Salina, KS. Typical working hours for this role are Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Prepare and submit required Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) and customs documentation. Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure import filings and entries are completed accurately and on time. Maintain FTZ inventory records and perform regular inventory reconciliations. Monitor inbound, outbound, and transferred shipments to ensure compliance with FTZ and customs regulations. Review shipment and inventory data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies when identified. Maintain records and documentation to support audits, reporting requirements, and regulatory compliance. Work with warehouse, logistics, and internal teams to support efficient movement of goods. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements. Support audits, process improvement initiatives, and other duties as assigned. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in logistics, customs compliance, supply chain, international trade, or a related field preferred. Knowledge of import/export processes, inventory management, and customs documentation. Familiarity with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) operations preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
