Job Description

Our client is looking for a Financial Analyst and a Financial Accountant to join their growing team in Shreveport, Louisiana. These positions offer the opportunity to contribute across a range of financial accounting, analytical and operational priorities within a small-company environment, making it a strong fit for someone who is adaptable, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. Candidates with oil and gas experience are highly valued, and individuals with solid finance, analysis or accounting foundations from other backgrounds will also be considered. The ideal person brings strong full cycle accounting and analysis skills, analytical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate insights clearly to both internal stakeholders and investors.
Responsibilities:
  • Review royalty-related financial activity and identify discrepancies to help confirm accurate payments.
  • Prepare recurring monthly and quarterly reporting packages for clients, leadership, and investment stakeholders.
  • Build, update, and maintain financial models that support investment analysis and decision-making.
  • Structure and organize datasets so reporting and analysis can be updated efficiently and consistently.
  • Support asset sale and divestiture activities through financial analysis, data preparation, and presentation materials.
  • Maintain and enhance dashboards, reports, and data models in Power BI to improve visibility into performance.
  • Develop presentation materials for board meetings and investor communications using clear financial storytelling.
  • Contribute to quarterly investor communications by assisting with written updates and supporting analysis.
  • Track market activity involving mineral and royalty interests to inform research and strategic evaluation.
