Jobs › Westborough, MA › Sr. Financial Analyst Robert Half Sr. Financial Analyst Westborough, MA Apply Description We are looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our client in Westborough, Massachusetts on a Contract basis. This individual contributor role will act as a key finance partner, helping leaders understand performance, track results, and plan effectively. The position is well suited for someone who can combine strong analytical thinking with clear communication and practical business support.
Responsibilities:
- Manage financial oversight for the Division, providing comprehensive profit and loss analysis to support business decisions.
- Coordinate month-end close activities, including selected journal entries, accrual review, and related financial reporting tasks.
- Produce and maintain weekly sales and order reporting through Power BI, ensuring timely and accurate visibility into business trends.
- Partner with the division vice president and budget owners to explain financial results, clarify budget performance, and support informed planning.
- Contribute to the annual operating plan by preparing analysis, organizing financial inputs, and assisting with forecast development.
- Deliver customized reporting and ad hoc analysis to address operational and financial questions across the division. Requirements
- Strong background in financial analysis within a business-facing finance role.
- Experience performing variance analysis and interpreting drivers behind financial results.
- Ability to create and deliver ad hoc financial reports and decision-support analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI for reporting and data visualization.
- Solid understanding of profit and loss statements, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work directly with senior leaders and budget stakeholders.
