JOB SUMMARY
The FDS Analyst II builds recurring and ad hoc analyses that explain local margin and productivity performance, working closely with Senior Analysts/Managers to ensure quality and consistency.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Produce recurring margin and productivity reports by service line/unit; reconcile to financials. Conduct variance analysis (price, volume, mix, productivity) and draft commentary for review. Assist in business case modeling and sensitivity analysis for local initiatives. Maintain data pipelines/workpapers and document methods in accordance with central standards. Field ad hoc‑hoc requests from local leaders; prioritize with Manager/Senior Gather local inputs and perform costing, profitability, and operational margin analysis for initiatives. Develop required management and forecasting reports. Support oversight of capital plan tracking (requests, monthly forecasts, coordination with managers) Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field (Required) One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required work experience, or one year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education. 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, decision support, or a related field in a healthcare setting (Required) Ability to: Work independently with supervision as required Manage multiple requests Communicate status clearly
Understanding of:
Standard margin metrics Productivity measures Local operational datasets Local entity cost accounting methods Experience with: BI/reporting tools Data reconciliation Clear documentation SAP or similar data sources Navigate rapidly changing situations, from evolving patient needs to technological advancements, by remaining flexible, continuously learning, embracing new challenges, and quickly recovering from setbacks. Solid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy. Work assignments are varied and sometimes require interpretation. Strong attention to detail and self-directed to consistently ensure data integrity and accuracy. Work seamlessly within diverse teams, bringing together professionals from various disciplines to provide patient-centered care and achieve collective goals. Ensures their work aligns with regulatory standards and company policies. Makes decisions that are guided by general instructions and practices requiring some interpretation. Addresses basic to moderately complex administrative and operational challenges. Applies comprehensive knowledge, skills, and practices to perform a variety of assignments in Financial Planning & Budgeting. Fully functioning capacity/ working knowledge of Financial Planning & Budgeting. Works on assignments within a process or set of processes of moderate size, scope, diversity, and/or complexity. Performs work thoroughly, cost-effectively,r and at a high productivity level. Intermediate proficiency and experience using the Microsoft Office Package (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Salary Range:
$31.53 /hour - $52.06 /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
