The Financial Analyst supports the Chevy Chase Investment Sales team by preparing financial analysis, market research, transaction materials, and client-ready presentation content for multifamily investment opportunities. This role combines analytical skills, disciplined data management, and clear communication to help evaluate assets, support marketing efforts, and assist with transaction execution from initial analysis through closing. Responsibilities Assist with financial analysis and underwriting of multifamily investment opportunities, including existing assets, value-add opportunities, and ground-up developments, using proprietary or team-approved models. Review P&L statements, rent rolls, operating data, and other financial materials to support evaluation of asset performance, investment potential, and transaction considerations. Research, update, and maintain market intelligence databases covering investment sales activity, construction pipelines, economic trends, demographic data, competitive positioning, and other relevant real estate metrics. Build familiarity with the Washington, D.C. metropolitan-area multifamily market through industry research, surveys, benchmarks, economic forecasts, news sources, and trade publications. Organize financial, market, and property-level data into clear analyses, graphics, charts, and presentation materials for internal and client-facing deliverables. Support the preparation of offering memorandums, broker opinions of value, market presentations, and other marketing materials through research, writing, editing, proofreading, and quality-control reviews. Assist in developing property positioning and investment narratives by connecting market conditions, property performance, location dynamics, and relevant investment trends. Work closely with brokers and production team members to understand analytical needs and help prepare analyses and presentations for clients and prospects. Support transaction execution and due diligence by coordinating documentation, tracking deliverables and deadlines, following up on information requests, and assisting communication among buyers, sellers, brokers, title companies, and other stakeholders. Maintain organized transaction and marketing files; monitor outstanding items; assist with preliminary file reviews; and help identify missing documentation or potential issues for team review. Manage responsibilities in a timely, organized, and accountable manner while supporting the team's standard business hours and completing other duties as assigned. Qualifications 0-3 years of previous experience in a similar position Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with close attention to detail, accuracy, and work-product quality. Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, data analysis, and financial modeling. Foundational understanding of multifamily real estate finance, investment sales, and transaction processes. Ability to research and analyze market, demographic, competitive, economic, industry, and real estate trend data and communicate findings clearly. Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including the ability to present analysis and complex information in a clear, organized manner. Highly organized and responsive, with the ability to manage multiple assignments, deadlines, and detailed documentation in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated accountability, adaptability, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn new processes and seek guidance when appropriate. Collaborative team player who builds effective working relationships and contributes to a positive, productive team environment. The provided base salary information for this position is part of an overall national range. The actual salary within our range for this position will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate. The total compensation package for this role may also include additional incentive opportunities.
