Fintech Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Reconciliation Analyst to support daily debit network settlement and balancing activities. This role is responsible for reconciling financial adjustments, researching discrepancies, downloading and analyzing reports, and ensuring account balances are accurate and complete. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with large amounts of data, navigating multiple systems, and using Excel to investigate and resolve variances.
Important:
This position requires morning availability, as much of the reconciliation and research work supports daily settlement processing and time-sensitive funding activities. Key Responsibilities Perform daily reconciliations of debit network transactions, settlements, fees, adjustments, and suspense items. Review and analyze reports from mainframe systems, DGAMS, FSAMS, and Excel workbooks to ensure financial accuracy. Research, identify, and resolve reconciliation discrepancies and outstanding items. Download core reports from the mainframe and capture key settlement, fee, and adjustment totals using established procedures. Support daily balancing activities by providing accurate and timely reporting. Process correcting entries and manual adjustments when needed. Maintain accurate records of reconciliation issues and resolutions. Collaborate with internal teams to investigate issues and escalate concerns as appropriate. Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase operational efficiency. Assist with documentation and procedures for new or updated business processes. Qualifications Required Skills Experience performing financial, banking, or account reconciliations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies independently. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of debit card networks and settlement processes. Experience working with mainframe systems and financial reporting tools. Understanding of bank account reconciliations, financial adjustments, and transaction matching. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
