Job Description

Controller
  • Financial Analyst Cornerstone empowers people living with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders to live, work, and integrate successfully into the community.

  • Responsibilities of the Controller
  • Financial Analyst
  • Maintain the general ledger in accordance with GAAP, including the preparation and review of monthly and annual journal entries.
  • Assist DOF as a key point of contact for the annual financial audit, IRS Form 990 preparation, and other required regulatory filings.
  • Collaborate directly with the CFO to perform financial modeling, variance analysis, and organizational expenditure tracking.
  • Provide strategic business analysis and ad-hoc financial reporting under the direction of the CFO to support organizational leadership decisions.
  • Assist with financial tracking, expenditure allocation, budget-to-actual reporting, and financial compliance modeling for federal, state, and private grants.
  • Assists program and development departments with grant financial proposals, tracking, reporting, and submission processes. Qualifications of the Controller
  • Financial Analyst
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting; Master's degree in Finance/Accounting or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and modeling (non-profit/grant environment preferred).
  • Must be proficient with financial management and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage Intacct or similar), Excel Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Must work a minimum of 20 hours per week to be eligible for benefits and leave accruals. 403(b) retirement plan with employer match available. This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position.
