About Ironclad Powered by Mersino
IRONCLAD
powered by Mersino, is a national provider of liquid storage, dewatering, and environmental rental solutions serving the energy, industrial, petrochemical, and construction markets. Formed through the merger of Ironclad Environmental and Mersino Dewatering, the combined company operates a multi-branch network across Texas, Louisiana, California, the Upper Midwest, and other key industrial regions, delivering rental fleet, engineered water management, and liquid containment solutions to customers who depend on uptime, safety, and technical expertise. About the Role The Senior Fleet Analyst (SFA) serves as the analytical backbone of the Fleet & Service organization, partnering directly with the SVP of Fleet & Service and department leadership to translate complex operational and financial data into clear, actionable insights. This role owns critical fleet performance reporting and analysis, including KPI development, root cause analysis, ROI modeling, capital planning, and the financial view of the fleet—including Original Equipment Cost (OEC), Net Book Value (NBV), depreciation, and net capital expenditures. The Senior Fleet Analyst will develop into a trusted, peer-level partner to department leaders, bringing data, insight, and recommendations to the table to improve tactical execution and support strategic decision-making across the organization. What You'll Do Fleet Analytics & Performance Collect, organize, and analyze fleet and service data, including utilization, maintenance expense, repair history, fuel consumption, and performance metrics. Develop and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and KPIs for the Fleet & Service organization. Identify trends, outliers, exceptions, and emerging performance issues requiring further investigation. Conduct root cause analysis on KPI deviations and operational challenges. Partner with Regional Fleet Managers, Regional Service Managers, and branch leadership to understand performance drivers and support corrective action. Financial & Capital Analysis Build and maintain ROI and cost-benefit models supporting capital expenditure requests. Analyze fleet conversions, refurbishment-versus-replacement decisions, and major equipment repair cases. Own the financial view of the fleet, including OEC, NBV, depreciation curves, and net capital expenditure tracking. Reconcile fleet and financial information across systems and reporting sources. Provide data-driven recommendations that improve capital allocation and total cost of ownership. Executive Reporting & Business Insights Prepare data, analysis, and presentation materials for Monthly Operating Reviews (MOR), quarterly board reporting, and ad hoc executive briefings. Translate complex datasets into clear findings, recommendations, and actionable next steps. Present insights to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. Identify risks and opportunities before they become larger operational or financial issues. AI, Automation & Continuous Improvement Serve as the Fleet & Service team's champion for AI and automation tools. Identify opportunities to automate recurring analysis, reporting, and operational workflows. Build and test prototypes in partnership with Fleet & Service leadership and scale successful solutions for broader use. Apply structured problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies to improve fleet and service processes. Cross-Functional Partnership Partner with Inventory, Purchasing, Service, Logistics, Finance, and branch leadership to support operational and capital decisions. Support service damage billing by auditing activity, identifying and quantifying recovery opportunities, and tracking resolution. Develop a deep understanding of Ironclad's equipment, branches, customers, and operating model to strengthen the quality and credibility of analytical recommendations. Participate in cross-functional initiatives supporting broader business objectives. Integration & Fleet Optimization Support post-merger integration analytics across the combined organization. Assist with system reconciliation, fleet rationalization, branch performance analysis, and capital governance. Identify opportunities to improve fleet deployment, utilization, operating cost, and overall performance. Stay current on industry trends and best practices across equipment rental, fleet management, and industrial services. What You'll Bring Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Engineering, Physics, or another analytical field. 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, operations analytics, quality engineering, business analytics, or a related discipline. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to organize, interpret, and draw conclusions from large or imperfect datasets. Demonstrated experience with root cause analysis, structured problem-solving, and process improvement. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Working knowledge of PowerPoint, Power BI, or comparable reporting and visualization tools. Ability to understand financial concepts including capital expenditures, depreciation, total cost of ownership, ROI, and basic GAAP principles. Experience presenting data-driven findings and recommendations to senior leadership. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information. Ability to independently structure ambiguous problems and operate effectively with limited direction. Preferred Qualifications Experience within equipment rental, fleet management, logistics, industrial services, or a related industry. Lean, Six Sigma, or comparable continuous improvement experience. Experience with ERP, fleet management, or business intelligence systems. Experience analyzing equipment lifecycle, utilization, maintenance, or capital investment decisions. What Success Looks Like In this role, success means:
