Lansing, MI Job Details 6 hours ago Benefits 401(k) Tuition reimbursement Qualifications Bachelor's degree Full Job Description Assisting LAFCU with financial decisioning through evaluation of financial data for investment decisions, loan portfolios and our overall financial health. This position analyzes trends, prepares reports and provides insights to help enhance our financial performance and ensuring our compliance with all necessary regulations. Analyzing current and past financial data to give advice on LAFCU's financial trends. Studies industry specific business trends and researches data. Create written reports using predictive financial models that enable the management team to make strategic decisions to meet business goals. Work directly with CFO on various planning exercises including budgets, profitability analysis, and reporting. Compiles and presents required records and reports including the Quarterly Call report. Spots trends and accesses risks to predict outcomes for business decisions. Working with financial software for analysis and reporting. Performs other job related duties as assigned. Three years to five years of proven financial analyst or similar experience. Proven proficiency in spreadsheets, databases and financial software applications. (1) A bachelor's degree, preferably with a major in accounting, economics or statistics; or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree). Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others. Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, Credit Unions and the analysis and reporting of financial data. Demonstrates carefulness about detail and thoroughness in completing work tasks. Able to pivot and prioritize tasks. Excellent reporting, presenting and communication skills. Sitting, reaching, reading, speaking in a normal office setting
