Major responsibilities of the job include: Prepare, analyze, and present financial information to MPC's Management and other groups within the Company. Develop, maintain, and manage financial modeling systems used for strategic financial planning activities and project analysis. Provide financial analysis in support of strategic corporate initiatives including sales & marketing, regulatory and budget. Prepare responses from the Financial Analysis function for regulatory data requests. Participate on Company and system teams as required on issues related to the Financial Analysis function.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required. Advanced degree or CPA desired.
Experience:
2+ years of Accounting/Finance experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with changing priorities and produce timely results Ability to effectively respond to changing business needs Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal skills, including both written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office products - particularly utilizing Excel spreadsheets and models Basic project management skills Working knowledge of utility accounting and regulatory framework preferred
