This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning financial and operational data into meaningful insights that drive business decisions. You'll work closely with Finance, Operations, Project Management, and leadership to understand financial performance, identify trends and opportunities, and improve visibility across the business. Power BI will be an important tool in this role, but we're looking for more than someone who can build reports. The right candidate will have a strong financial foundation, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to interpret data, ask the right questions, and communicate what the numbers mean for the business. Because we operate in the restoration and construction industry, much of our financial analysis is closely tied to project performance, job costs, labor, revenue, gross margin, and operational efficiency. What You'll Do As our Financial Analyst, you'll help Finance and Operations teams better understand business and project performance and turn financial data into actionable information. Your Responsibilities Will Include Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards, financial reports, and KPI reporting Analyze financial and operational performance to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas requiring attention Develop reporting and analysis around revenue, gross margin, profitability, job costs, labor, and operational performance Analyze actual results against budgets, forecasts, historical performance, and company targets, including investigation of significant variances Analyze project-level financial performance, including job costs, profitability, and Work in Progress (WIP) Partner with Operations and Project Management to understand project results, investigate unusual activity, and identify underperforming projects or emerging trends Develop KPIs and executive-level reporting that provide clear visibility into company, departmental, and project performance Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and scenario analysis Analyze labor, materials, subcontractor, and other project-related costs and their impact on profitability Support revenue recognition, WIP reporting, month-end financial analysis, and management reporting Use Power BI, Excel, and Sage Intacct to gather, analyze, organize, and present financial information Improve the accuracy, efficiency, consistency, and automation of financial reporting and analysis Work with Finance and Operations to improve data quality and reporting processes Support special financial analysis and business initiatives as needed What We're Looking For Candidates should have: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred Minimum of 4 years of professional finance, accounting, FP&A, or financial analysis experience Strong hands-on Power BI experience, including developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, data visualizations, and financial KPIs Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strong understanding of financial statements, revenue, expenses, margins, profitability, and variance analysis Strong financial analysis and analytical problem-solving skills Ability to work with large amounts of financial and operational data and translate findings into clear, useful business insights Ability to identify trends, investigate discrepancies, and independently research financial questions Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both Finance and non-Finance audiences Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Even Better If You Have Sage Intacct experience Experience in restoration, construction, or another project-based industry Job costing and Work in Progress (WIP) reporting experience Budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling experience Revenue recognition experience Experience developing executive-level dashboards and KPI reporting Experience partnering directly with Operations, Project Managers, or senior leadership Why This Role Matters At Sasser Restoration, Finance isn't just about reporting what happened - it's about helping the business understand why it happened, what it means, and what we should do next.
