Purpose of Position:
This role is responsible for carrying out management directives while providing daily supervision of assigned Fresh Cut temporary staff. The position ensures that all work is performed in accordance with company policies, procedures, quality expectations, and safety requirements.
Accountabilities:
Communicate with Production staff and management team to ensure proper follow through on duties. Perform product inventory cycle counts as directed. Maintain accurate documentation for food safety purposes. Advise management of unsafe conditions and provide recommendations for improvement. Communicate well (both written and verbal) with management, as well as direct employees in a productive/professional manner. Assist with scheduling of work teams and initiate short and long-term plans with Production Management. Assist with training of employees and ensure they are provided ongoing skills development and coaching, to improve job performance. Assess daily and weekly output, identify issues in productivity, and manage the allocation of people and equipment, to address day-to-day variations in demand and capacity, across assigned lines. Perform tasks as related to position of production employee when needed. Special tasks as assigned.
Minimum Skills Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent, from an accredited institution. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook, etc.). At least 1-year prior experience in a similar role in a production environment. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Must be able to communicate well (both written and verbal) with management as well as direct employees in a productive/professional manner. Must be able to work in a production area which includes noise, equipment moving, sharp utensils, wet, and cold (
