Job Description

Overview This position supports the underwriting and risk assessment of new and existing commercial loans in accordance with established policies and procedures. The Commercial Credit Analyst analyzes financial information, assesses credit risk and prepares credit risk and loan offering memoranda to support sound credit decisions. The position collaborates with lenders and other Bank staff throughout the underwriting and approval process. Responsibilities Analyze financial information for new and existing commercial borrowers and calculate key financial ratios to support credit assessment and underwriting. Prepare credit risk and loan offering memoranda that provide a thorough analysis of borrower financial condition, credit risk and other relevant factors. Review and analyze commercial loan files for completeness and accuracy and submit completed credit packages for approval. Identify credit requests that do not meet established standards and escalate exceptions to management for further review. Obtain required credit, collateral and other applicable information to support the underwriting process. Assist with obtaining and reviewing financial information from existing commercial borrowers to support ongoing credit analysis and monitoring. Communicate with lenders regarding the status of loans in process, outstanding information and underwriting requirements. Prepare and maintain required credit documentation, forms and reports in an accurate and timely manner. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in finance or business preferred. Minimum 2 years of related experience required. Commercial credit analysis or underwriting experience strongly preferred. Working knowledge of financial analysis required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

COMPENSATION
- $60,000 to $80,000
